Komatsu’s electric-drive and mechanical-drive fleets are a major part of North American mining, from HD785 and HD1500 through the 830E, 930E, 960E, and 980E. These trucks move millions of tons every day, and the wear they create is severe. At High Tech Reman (HTR), we’ve built a dedicated knowledge base and proprietary repair processes tailored to Komatsu’s designs, not just Caterpillar’s.
Weld Overlay & Remanufacture of Bed Hoist and Strut Rods
Komatsu 830 rods ready for final polish to like-new.
The backbone of Komatsu’s haul trucks are their multi-stage bed hoist cylinders and front and rear suspension struts. Our team has engineered specialized submerged arc weld overlay, machining, and coating workflows that match the metallurgy and dimensional requirements of Komatsu components.
- Bed Hoist Rods: Long, multi-stage rods with complex diameters and sealing lands. We restore them to precise geometry and surface finish, ready to run at OEM pressure ratings.
- Suspension Strut Rods: Heavy load-bearing rods remanufactured with our proven welding and finishing processes to resist cracking and extend service intervals.
Every Komatsu rod we deliver is backed by traceable QC data — thorough hardness and crack checks, logged process parameters, and component tracing — so mines and rebuilders have full visibility.
Additional Component Capabilities
Beyond rods, we also support other heavy Komatsu components, including wheel spindles, brake anchors, and wheel-end structures. These high-load parts are restored with engineered welding and machining practices to return them to safe, reliable service while minimizing downtime.
Proven Turnaround for Mining Maintenance
We’re set up for high-volume throughput — critical when trucks can’t sit idle waiting for component repair That means fleets can plan maintenance windows confidently, whether for routine rebuilds or urgent failures.
